I love the Navy... and San Diego

Posted on 17:26 by Unknown
When I got the interview offer from the Naval hospital, I couldn't be more excited. All I could think was MEN MEN MEN MEN MEN MEN MEN... did I mention Men?

The navy did deliver. I think I had whiplash walking through the hospital.

The interviews were TOUGH though. They were the most formal and "typical" with questions about strengths and weaknesses, failures, triumphs, favorite thing about med school, etc.

I was prepared but unprepared because I just hadn't reviewed those answers in a while. I hope I did ok, but I'm not sure... especially the first interview. I swear the doc/lieutenant didn't even crack a smile.

Now let's talk about San Diego. Here's the city in a nutshell:

Mexicans, Mexicans, Homeless, HOTTIE!

Homeless, Mexicans, Homeless, HOTTIE!

I'd probably have fun, but I don't think I'd find a hottie with a brain who is unmarried.

On to the rest of San Diego. I did have the chance to re-unite with one of my best friends from college... and WhiteRapper joined me for the weekend.

In a nutshell, we had a fun weekend exploring San Diego. I did fabulous dessert, the zoo and sportfishing... yes, I went fishing... and I probably won't ever again.

I wish I could write more thoughtfully, but I don't have much to say. It's all what it is. *I* am just tired. Now that interviews are almost done, I'm scared. I'm afraid I won't match. In fact, there's a good chance I won't.

But there is a good chance I will... I just have to impress the chief... I hope he trusts me when I tell him I will not fail.

Tap the Rockies

Posted on 17:03 by Unknown
I just had my first interviews for the preliminary year in Denver. The first interview I kinda screwed up a bit. She asked me why I didn't want to become a regular medicine doctor, and I hadn't prepped that question. I faltered a bit, but basically told her I LOVE medicine but I was highly influenced by my radiology rotations and felt my personality fit well in radiology.

My second interview was with the residency director himself. He pretty much read me my letters of recommendation, my dean's letter, all the positives about me and told me that he would love to have me there. It was really cool to hear and when he put the ball in my court, I took the bait and ran with it.

Once the interview was over, I was able to focus on another reason to visit Denver... WhiteRapper.

I haven't seen him since we met over a year ago. We've chatted here and there, but after my last trip to Denver got cancelled by a snowstorm I figured that was God's way of telling me to stick with RedSox.

With my invitation to interview in Denver, I took it as a sign that I just need to be Roxy a little bit longer.

WhiteRapper picked me up the night before my interview. He had green tea for me upon arrival at baggage claim. We drove back to his place and he cooked me dinner. I told him ahead of time that I do not want to drink the night before my interview so he kept me well hydrated with water. We spent quite a while talking and then went to bed... his bed.

I couldn't sleep so we chatted most of the night. He rubbed my back to calm my nerves and instead it excited some different nerves. I told him I wanted to cuddle... and then I told him I wanted more. I fell right asleep afterwards... completely satisfied.

We woke up the next morning early. After my shower, I was greeted with a healthy breakfast and green tea. Then I met WhiteRapper's son...

For a little bit of background, WhiteRapper had a terribly rocky on-off relationship with his girlfriend of 7 years. He got her pregnant in Boston... right after I met him in my home town.

The little guy is the cutest baby ever. He let me hold him. He held my hands as I helped him learn to walk. He grabbed the cross around my neck and learned the word Jesus. I quickly apologized to WhiteRapper because I know mom is Hindu. What?...

Every morning he made me breakfast. He planned our days of hiking and checking out Colorado. He paid for everything, and appropriately let me buy things. He bought me a beautiful Alexis Bittar bracelet as a congrats gift after my interview.

I had a great time with WhiteRapper.... finally spending an adequate amount of time together after meeting on MySpace 4 years ago.

I know some of you disagree with my behavior, and I'm not going to defend it. I don't follow socially acceptable practices or typical morals. I do what I feel... and this past weekend I felt like tapping the Rockies.

Pink Eye Punishment

Posted on 19:05 by Unknown
So I recently got an email from WhiteRapper telling me I creeped back into his dreams. If I'm game, he'll take me on a weekend get-a-way. Vegas, Miami... anyplace warm.

I thought about it. I even let him start planning it. Then the vision in my right eye started to blur.

Ok so my classmate gave me conjunctivitis, but I figure I deserve it. I really wanted to go to Vegas, to go away, to get away.

Then the guilt hit. I didn't know I had guilt after sleeping with OleMiss (which I still don't feel badly about).

Recently RedSox has gone above and beyond, moreso than usual. He loves me. To think that I would *think* about straying just proves I don't deserve his love.

So now I'm off to bed, feeling better that I told WhiteRapper no... but dreading the pink eye I will wake up to tomorrow morning.

The Latest Scoop

Posted on 14:11 by Unknown
When my doorbell rang, I thought I was finally getting my package of clothes from La Redoute. As I walked down to the front door I realized that La Redoute had never sent me a shipping confirmation email, so it couldn't be my order.

Then I thought maybe RedSox sent me flowers. He does that once in a while to brighten my hellish days of studying. Again, though, the florist usually calls to let me know I have a delivery.

Could the package be for Roomate? It's possible, but she is an intelligent person and would never order something for delivery while she is gone for a month.

I grab the package and see that it has been sent from Colorado. When I get upstairs, I open it to find a Colorado Avalanche t-shirt, a Denver Nuggets t-shirt and a Nuggets water bottle.

There is a card with a cat sitting in a litter box, asking me "What's the Latest Scoop?" Inside I read "Hope you get some mileage out of these gifts. Thinking of you, WhiteRapper."

I sent him a thank you email.

The latest scoop is that I'm still where I left off when he and I last spoke... I'm with RedSox... and WhiteRapper has no idea.

I have no excuse for not telling him about RedSox. The truth is I like to keep my options open, and I love the attention. Couldn't be a predator any other way.

ok now I miiight have cheated

Posted on 05:29 by Unknown
Not really... I didn't do anything. It was just dinner amongst strangers. And No, I did not turn to craigslist for a random date.

Actually last night I took the train to my home town. I watched my dad pick up my mom and then I went one more stop to downtown. As I walked up the hill towards the restaurant, I got a hit of nerves.

There he was walking down the hill to potentially run into me. I was supposed to meet him in March, but my flight to Denver was cancelled. WhiteRapper looked exactly like his MySpace pics... and damn did he look good.

His work brought him to the North East. He emailed me a few weeks back to let me know he was coming, where he was staying, etc. I made plans with him for dinner, but then I never thought anything of it.

Even yesterday I didn't think anything of it. I went into the dinner as I do all dinners... nothing is gonna come of this, so I'm just gonna have a good time.

And we did. Conversation flowed. Our meal was pretty great. After 2.5 hours of chatting away, I finally had to head back into Boston.

I liked WhiteRapper a lot, but there was no spark for me. I called up RedSox on the train ride home. He was at the sox game, so I told him we'd talk later. I ended up going to bed, but I know how I feel and where I stand. I'm with RedSox and that's that.

But is it? As I sit here reflecting on last night's conversation with WhiteRapper, not once did I think to tell him I was dating RedSox. I thought about RedSox during dinner, but I only mentioned him casually as a friend.

It's no wonder then that I woke up to this email from WhiteRapper:
"My VP told me to stick around and check out the city. He approved all the flight changes! I had a good time with ya tonight. You're cool, fun, and you're definitely easy on the eyes. Everything I thought you'd be. I'm looking forward to more chance encounters."

So I'm still in Boston

Posted on 13:12 by Unknown
As you may or may not know, the northeast was hit with a ridiculous snowstorm yesterday. Jetblue cancelled over 200 flights, but mine was still on time. RedSox drove me to the airport a few hours earlier so we could hang out together before I went to Denver. Funny how only a few hours later I would be with another man.

We sat in the bar until 10 minutes before I was supposed to board. The screen still had my flight as On Time. I went to my gate and asked about the status of my flight. Our plane was up in Maine, but in transit. Our new take-off time would be half an hour later. I told them to update the computers.

I went back to the bar where RedSox had made a new friend. We sat for another half an hour and finally learned that my flight had been cancelled. I got on the phone with Jetblue, but was told that the next available flight would be 2 days later... kinda makes for a short and pathetic trip.

I called WhiteRapper to let him know I wasn't coming. He was really bummed, but understood. I felt happy... and relieved.

I know if I went to Denver, I would have hooked up with WhiteRapper. It's what I do. It's the predator in me. I also know it would have been completely meaningless for me... but meaningful for WhiteRapper.

I had to let this prey escape. I had to admit that I didn't want to do what I was going to do in Denver. I had to own up to the truth. I'm committed to RedSox.

I think I'm going to throw up.

The Itinerary

Posted on 18:00 by Unknown
"Everything's booked, confirmed, and ready to be enjoyed. I just wrapped up our itinerary and attached it to this exciting email which you are now reading. Gosh, this all still seems so weird and fun! ((((Meeting a girl on myspace, getting to know her, girl buys plane ticket to Denver to meet guy she's never met, guy plans entire weekend getaway with girl he's never met)))

It's going to be so much fun Roxy. You are really going to have a grand tour of Colorado. Check out the COLORADO plan of attack I attached."

FRI NIGHT 3/16: Head straight to Evergreen, CO for a night at a Bed & Breakfast with a view of a waterfall and Mount Evans (chill…drink wine…unwind…maybe we can put some time in at the hot tub)

SAT 3/17: HIKE in Evergreen, head to Down Town Denver, check-in, go out and party for St Patty’s until exhaustion or drunkenness become us.

SUN 3/18: Wake up, go to church, head to Estes park. Check out Garden of the Gods, then check into to our Cabin and drink wine…and??

MON: Lunch at John Elway’s Steak House… WhiteRapper’s house… meet Zidane (his cat)

I have never dated a man who planned anything. Ok maybe a date here and there.

But I'm excited. We have never even met, and look at everything he has already done for me.

Did I mention RedSox is driving me to the airport and picking me up?

(I know you are all DYING to know what he thinks about my trip... I'll let you know soon enuf)

Real World Denver

Posted on 10:12 by Unknown
I was pretty new to Myspace when WhiteRapper messaged me about 2 years ago. I was still focused on friendster, so it was fun to get to know new people through the Myspace venue.

He was from Colorado, had a thing for Indian girls and found my profile through a random search. He liked what he saw and read, and our conversations began. We started with myspace, moved to regular emails and then he called me.

We chatted regularly for a while. Nothing spectacular, just a faraway friend to get to know. But then the phone calls stopped, we lost touch and I started medical school.

About 3 months ago, WhiteRapper picked things back up with emails. He had lost my myspace profile and wanted to re-connect. We became friends again and he started asking when I was coming out to Denver to visit.

I had no intention of ever planning to visit him in Denver. I would tell him that I wouldn't come out unless he paid. He didn't like the idea, so that pretty much guaranteed we would stay on our respective sides of the country.

But then Jetblue announced an incredible deal to Denver. I had a lot of fears with RedSox, and in that moment I reverted to my old predator self. I bought my ticket and emailed WhiteRapper to let him know I was coming. I fly out a week from now.

This is the Real World baby... the Roxy World... Denver.
